FMOH FINALIZES CM-NTDs OPERATIONAL PLAN FOR 2019-2021

An operational plan for integrated Case Management Neglected Tropical Diseases (CM-NTDS) for the next three years (2019 to 2021) has been developed. A team from the Federal Ministry of Health, led by the National Coordinator and supported by Accelerated Integrated Management (AIM) Initiative created this strategic plan during a two days finalization meeting in Abuja last week.

The operational plan contains four strategic priorities: strengthen government ownership, coordination and partnership; enhance planning for results, resource mobilization and financial sustainability of NTD programme; scale up access to interventions, treatment and service delivery capacities; and enhance CM-NTD monitoring, evaluation, surveillance and operational research. The estimated budget of the plan for 3 years is $ 8,501,573.90.
