November 16, 2018Leishmaniasis is a disease caused by bite from the sandfly. (Visceral) Leishmaniasis can cause swelling of the liver and the spleen in children – 15 years and under, resulting in swollen stomach.
If your child complains of stomach ache a lot, report to the nearest health clinic.
It just might be Leishmaniasis.
