This week, the South – West zone held its zonal review meeting to assess the extent of implementation of NTD activities in 2018 as well as the treatment data and medicine consumption. The participants at the meeting include the NTD National Coordinator, FMOH program officers, the Zonal Coordinator and staff, NTDs State Coordinators and data managers from the 6 (six) States in the zone (Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti States); NGDO representatives from RTI/ENVISION, AHF and MITOSATH.
At the meeting, each state presented their work plan for the year and discussed the extent to which each activity was implemented. Ogun State was applauded for good improvement in NTD implementation in the year 2018. Also, development of 2019 proposed NTD work plan was initiated.
In addition, among other resolutions reached, it was stated that all the states in the zone should submit their treatment data on or before 14th of December. RTI/ENVISION supported the meeting.
NORTH-WEST ZONAL NTD REVIEW MEETING COMMENCES, NOVEMBER 2018
The North-West zone has begun its review meeting in Kaduna State. The purpose of the meeting is to assess the extent of implementation of NTD activities in the zone this year. The meeting which is slated to last till Sunday, the 2nd of December, 2018 commenced on Friday, 30th November, 2018. DAI is the partner supporting for this activity.
ABIA STATE NTD TEAM TAKE TO THE STREETS TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR NTDs
Abia State NTD team, this week, conducted a city campaign to raise awareness for NTDs. The activity was supported by The Carter Center.
